I use the app "Lose It!" I find that it's way more user friendly than My Fitness Pal. It's super easy to adjust the nutrition facts on products you scan and you can adjust the units of measure as well. There are no annoying ads or blog posts on the main page and recipe creation couldn't be easier. You can even adjust your macros yourself. Tip: start out with monthly premium for a while and you'll eventually get a discount on lifetime premium.

Other times it's the flavor profiles; I'll pick up different flavor notes and my brain will go through the catalog of recipes in my head and pick ones that complement the flavor profiles the best.
